What Writers Think About When They Can’t Write

Hit a creative iceberg today, y’all. Been brainstorming on ideas for today’s blog and I’m coming up blank.

After listening to Big Sean’s mixtape, I thought about doing an unofficial (read: my own personal) prediction of the 2011 XXL Freshmen list, but I’m not trying to open that can of worms just yet.

Then, I thought maybe something on this, but what more can I say.

I even thought about getting a little political and speaking on the end of the war in Iraq, rather not. So, as I always do when I want the creative juices to start flowing, I take my mind off the matter at hand. I start thinking about something totally different, far from what I’m plotting, to maybe draw some creative inspiration. It’s my train of thought that will hopefully lead me back to where I need to be. So here goes, the things that popped into my mind as I sought out a blog idea.

Every thing for me starts with fine scantly clad women and it gets no better than the “Rump Shaker” video. Well, it does but my brain went there for some reason. Sorry if this offends, but that’s just me.

Notice how the video chicks back in the day were more around-the-way appealing. Nothing extra. Holla if ya hear me.

People forget Pac got his start in Digital Underground and “Humpty Dance” was that ish back in the day. Every time I see Shock G, though, I can’t help but want to hear this song next.

Now how different is that from this?
