Dear, Kat Stacks Slappers – Didn’t We Learn From O-Dog?
It was the slap heard round the hip-hop world. Not sure when it happened, but right before I left the office for the long weekend last Friday I got forwarded the now infamous clip [see above] of Kat Stacks getting pimp slapped—not once but twice. While I’ve never been an advocate of Ms. Stacks’ online antics and tried my best to not pay her too much mind, but this recent act of bitchassness begs my attention.
Now, it goes without saying that a man should never hit a woman, but clearly these fine upstanding gentlemen, who are alleged to have ties to Fabolous and Bow Wow, didn’t get that memo. But I’ll reiterate the for the unaware: Unless your life is in real mortal danger and you’re restraining a woman for your own safety, there’s no reason a real man should lay hands on a woman—especially a unarmed woman seated at a bar.
I mean, sure Kat is no angel and has been a perpetual line-stepper, calling out rappers, giving out their personal information online and recording them while their asleep, but I don’t see how that equals two slaps across the face. Beyond that, whether or not the guys in the clip are affiliated with Fab and/or Bow, that’s between them and Kat not their mans-n-’em.
I can understand seeing someone that’s talking greazy about your boy and confronting them, but these cats crossed the line. At the very least you talk to them, but once you lay hands on a chick, not once but twice, and then drag her to the floor by her hair and then demand an apology is when you’re doing way too much.
That ain’t gangsta, it’s just dumb.
Speaking of which, not only did these guys assault a woman in public—while namedropping Fabolous and Bow Wow—but also video tapped the whole thing for prosperity.
Didn’t we learn from O-Dog in Menace II Society? If you’re going to do a crime don’t tape it and if you do, destroy the footage. But nope, these tough guys, not only taped it but one genius even decided to pick up Kat’s phone and record the whole thing from another angle.
I could be wrong [probably not] but one of these guys, or at least someone in their camp, decided to post the footage online. What part of the game is that? That’s just as dumb as all these random dudes that pop up online with pictures and videos of them rockin’ Yung Berg’s chain. I’m not much of a gambling man, but I bet that YouTube-ready chain-snatchers and woman beaters get caught with the quickness. Dudes talk all this stop snitchin’ smack and then dry snitch on themselves by doing dumb stuff like this.
As for the Kat Stacks slappers, y’all did much more bad than good. Putting a chick in check is one thing but chin checking her is another. Getting physical with shorty is only putting more people in her corner and will probably land y’all behind bars for assault. Or getting assaulted your damn self.
Not sure who Kumasi from Black Wall Street is but he didn’t take too kindly to the Kat Stacks slappers laying hands on her.
So where do you guys stand on this whole debacle? Did these guys cross the line or did Kat Stacks bring this on herself? —Anslem Samuel
