Top 10 Hip-Hop Songs for Halloween

Happy Halloween peoples!

I love Halloween, not because I dress up in a costume or anything remotely festive like that, but just the whole energy of the holiday. It's real dope. Got me thinking about some great horror-themed hip-hop songs. So without further ado, here we go, my top 10 hip-hop songs for Halloween.

10- Dr. Dre- "Murder Ink"- samples the theme from Halloween, a no-brainer.

9- Flatlinerz- "Live Evil"- group contained Russell Simmons nephew. Yoga vs. death rap? You be the judge.

8- Sunz Of Man- "Soldiers of Darkness"- "Gee, I'm sheisty, now I see why nobody likes me!"

7- Ras Kass- "Interview With A Vampire"- Ras Kass proves once again that he's otherworldly as a writer. Perhaps he should have penned the F'ing movie! I just watched it the other day for the first time, and that sh*t sucked

6- Cam'Ron- "Death"- Cam has his own Ingmar Bergman moment and converses with the angel of death, and admits to humping a chick with AIDS. Wow.

5- Ice T- "The Tower"- Before Ice T was beefing with Soulja Boy and being paid attention to because he had a wife with tig ol' bitties, he was actually a rapper. The Halloween theme gets used here too, and Ice talks about life behind the walls. Scary indeed.

4- Mobb Deep ft. Raekwon- "Nighttime Vultures"- I don't even have any words for this track. This joint is just ridiculous, back when Mobb Deep was actually, like, good.

3- Three 6 Mafia- "Fuckin Wit Dis Click"- Is it a definitive Three 6 Mafia horrorcore song? Kinda creepy for sure. Where's my cup?

2- Eminem and Royce da 5'9- "Scary Movies"- I've been trying to find a reason to post this song since I started writing this blog. This is the best Eminem song ever. This was the song that made me pay attention to Eminem. It was an instant WTF? moment when I heard it in the late 90s.

1- Gravediggaz- "1-800 Suicide"- R.I.P. Poetic... this guy was sooooo incredible as a rapper. "Hey you little rich kid, what's your beef?/Come and tell the Grim Reaper all of your grief." This dude actually sounded like a ghoul or ghost. You gotta love it.
