You May As Well Crown R. Kelly The SDN (Smart Dumb Nigga) Champ Now

Some of these folks have been making inadvertent pushes for the SDN (Smart Dumb Nigga) crown in the past two weeks.

First, Diddy went and filmed not one, but two "Swagger Like Puff" videos. I used to laugh at (not with) Puff's Diddy blogs, but I just decided to stop watching them rather than complain about them.

On another note, I have my money on Kells to win the SDN chip. The crazy thing is he's facing Nas, the SDN poster boy in the first round. Billy Sunday said it best: “NaS is such an enigma as a recoding artist. He is clearly a genius on several levels, but then he becomes an idiot savant during interviews.” But coming off this BET interview, I really like Kells' chances. "What do you mean by teenage girls?" That quote alone should get him the cup...Unless Nas tops him before the Division 2 voting closes some time next week. Anyway, this is a tight field. Here are my predictions for the  SDN tournament's first round (Division 1).

#1-Kanye West Vs. #16-Mos Def: This one could go down to the wire. But I'm not sure folks have seen Mos' more recent interviews. Projected Winner: Kanye West

#2-KRS-One Vs. #15-RZA: Wow! This is a tough one. Projected Winner: Whoever people vote for.

#3-Snoop Dogg Vs. #14-Tupac Shakur: These two have been in silly jams before, but I just don't see either as dumb. They shouldn't even be on the ballot. There's no way folks will vote for Pac, though. Projected Winner: Snoop Dogg.

#4 Lil Wayne Vs. #13 Ghostface: Although incapable of explaining some of his most brilliant rhymes, Ghost should be exempt from the tour for coining the term, "Smart Dumb Cat." Projected Winner: Lil Wayne

#5-The Game Vs. #12-T.I.: These two should have squarred off much later in the tournament. But I guess we have random select to thank for this epic first round battle. In the end, Change Of Heart, suicidal talks and covered up butterfly tatoos will win it for Chuck Taylor. Projected Winner: The Game

#6-Plies Vs. # 11-Kimora Lee Simmons: Long suspected to be a bird, allegedly dating Baby probably hurt her standing. Projected Winner: Kimora Lee Simmons

#7-Eminem Vs. Karrine "Superhead" Steffans: Again, the bird behavior just isn't a good look. Projected Winner: Karrine "Superhead" Steffans

#8-Diddy Vs. #9-ODB: What started as a tough match-up is turning into a landslide Diddy "Victory" courtesy of his "Swagger Like Puff" rendition. I only hope the Puffster doesn't think he just won something good. Projected Winner: Diddy by a lanslide.
