A genuine “LOL” from that Highlander reference.

The Dean book’s not as bad as Superhead’s. It’s not super-smart either, but from what I’ve read (I work at a bookstore so I could borrow it), it’s more of a memoir and discussion of hidden gay-culture (parties and the like) than a “a rapper with dreads and eye tattoos from the South was at one of these parties” or something like that…

yeah…i peeped that documentary…Busta looked real shook, scared as hell. if the book is anything like the documentary, it may be worth peeping because that documentary (sorry i cant remember the damn name) really put alot of things, even beyond homosexuality, in perspective and showed how Hip Hop is more gay than it is straight when looking at the patterns and images…

that last line about killing=more and loving=less was good…

It’s funny, because it’s perfectly okay in hip-hop to profess all this hatred and hostility towards women (which is kind of gay) or express a kind of reverence towards prison culture. It’s okay to rhyme about your man purse, your diamond bracelet, and your earings or whatever cats are talking about now. It’s okay to be about all of these things that don’t really fit in with a traditional view of manliness…things that used to be considered kind of gay…but it’s not okay to actually be gay. Hopefully this book will be a step forward in helping us, the hip-hop community, catch up with most of the country on this issue and in dealing with its overall issues with manliness.

I’m sure a lot of folks know about the young cat across town from me that got killed over his being out of the closet (here in Oxnard, Cali). This shit needs to stop. Being gay don’t make you some kind of evil person, y’all.

man stfu i’m sick of all these gayasses loggin on and tryina convince the world that they normal. Now it turns out they sendin us homosexual messages subliminally.. wtf

  • DH 4 the other team?

Oh, so I guess you’re a lover of men, and this homo qualification makes you a real man?

    God question though? No homo

Homosexuality is not normal, but it is widespread whitch gives the effect of being a normal occurence. I don’t have anything against gays, and I don’t whip them with a bible, or none of that.

I can even call another man atractive, example: Yeah baby, I think your friend would find my homie attractive enought to fuck with!

But,as any straight man would say, “Man on man sex is nasty like sex’n a 300lbs trailer trash chick in a popeye’s garbage dumpster!”

So, yes please air out the gay rappers! This way there’s no confusion.

Like Bun B said, these flip-flop, undercover, in tha closet ass, switch hittin, side switch’n, super sissies need to “STOP POISONING THE PUSSY POPULLATION!”

Pimp C is the one who said that….valid point nonetheless…

    • Dub Sac

      “STOP POISONING THE PUSSY POPULLATION!”

Have you ever fucked a girl in the ass and then put it back in her cootch?

Are you against the back-and-forth of vaginal/anal sex in general, or is male feces somehow dirtier than female feces?

  • smog

documentary = beyond beats and rhmyes
    “we dont talk about that”

  • Jerod

I like what you said at the end. “If killing a man makes you more of a man, and loving a man makes you less of a man, maybe we should reexamine our criteria for manhood.” Word.

In my opinion, we should all love each other as brothers. But even that much emotion sparks a lot of fear in “men.”

  • chad bro chill

naaa killing a man does make us more of a man than loving one cuz killing a man doesnt involve shoving your stuff in a poop chute

    • Flymasta

WHY DOES LOVING A MAN ALWAYS HAVE TO DO WITH STICKING A DICK IN ANOTHER MAN’S ASS AND IF ANYTHING KILLING A MAN IS COWARDLY IF U GOT BEEF SETTLE IT WITH UR HANDS

WHY DOES LOVING A MAN ALWAYS HAVE TO DO WITH STICKING A DICK IN ANOTHER MAN’S ASS AND IF ANYTHING KILLING A MAN IS COWARDLY IF U GOT BEEF SETTLE IT WITH UR HANDS

  • ty-nitty

    no homo.

  • Meech

Killing a man AND loving a man are both wrong. So what’s the fucking point?

Just because homosexuality is thrown in our faces on T.V. does not make it normal. If that’s the case, killing a man is also normal.

Usually I find your posts to be pretty insightful, but I don’t agree with this one at all.

It’s disgusting and it’s not like they been straight up about it, they be tryina influence us without makin us realize how gay they is. That’s the crime. Us niggas got to be like, no, that shit is gay. I hit it from the front and love women.

yeah jay, i agree. i am always reminded of the chris rock joke about everyone having a gay uncle (or something like that). hip-hop has always needed to chill with the gay bashing; there is no greater indicator of homosexuality than gay-bashing. in line with this logic — there is no greater indicator of homosexuality than dismissals such as “no homo, nullus, pause” etc, because if you don’t have dick on the mind, that shit never crosses the mind. no offense to any of the people that use these phrases; i know some of you use them without thinking about any of that shit.

  • Mr. Rogers

I feel the whole population is turning “gay”, the end of the world began with male capris

On the other end, I think the entire world is creating a new level of homophobia. There’s a growing list of words that “men” aren’t allowed to use anymore.

    1. You can’t use “suck” unless its in a sentence referencing a female.
    2. “Mouth”…combined with in, on, around, etc.

There’s a whole bunch more prolly but I’m kind of feeling like I’m killing my argument trying to think these up

  • Penelope Rodriguez

I saw that documentary…busta looked shook as hell, and i was laughing at dude…not with him, but at him….byron hurt asked busta a simple question (I’m paraphrasing it ’cause I don’t remember word for word), “do you think a gay rapper would be popular with mainstream fans?” or something like that…busta ain’t even wanna answer the question…it was clear…it just goes to show that busta isn’t too sure or comfortable with his sexuality…lmao

  • djensomnea
