I've always found it especially ironic whenever one of these older black people who live to shut down hip-hop tries to claim that hip-hop has a problem with homophobia, since I think we all know there's hardly anyone quite as homophobic as an older, church-going black person.

In fact, it's been alleged - and I believe there's some truth to this - that old, homophobic black people helped get President Sieg Howdy re-elected back in '04, because he managed to convince them all that John Kerry would allow teh ghey people to get married.

For what it's worth, I do find these older black homophobes to be more idiotic than they are genuinely hateful - rather than someone like, say, the Rev. Fred Phelps, the guy who throws those God Hates Fags rallies outside the funerals of teh ghey soldiers. Many of them have just seen so many young people in their community die of AIDS and are convinced that it's all gay people's fault.

And Oprah Winfrey's not helping matters with her down-low hysteria. Just because she's in the closet herself, now she's got everyone's ignorant-ass grandmother convinced that the reason so many black women are coming down with AIDS is because every other brother you see is sneaking out at night to fuck someone in the ass.

Meanwhile, I think I've proven that the real reason so many black chicks have AIDS is because of the ridonkulous amount of man-sharing that goes on in the black community. They can't find a man that's worth a shit (read wealthy) so they just find quite a few men, the better to extract welfare from the government, not to mention child support.

Would old, ignorant black people still hate gay people if it wasn't for the whole AIDS thing> Maybe, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm tolerant like that.

Similarly, Pimp C claims he isn't a homophobe, but he's tired of teh ghey guys hiding in the closet and poisoning the pussy population with their filthy, shit-laden cocks.

Here's the legend himself in the October issue of XXL.

It’s no gay-bashing with me. It’s just, be proud of what you are, instead of hidin’ in the closet. And if ya fuck boys in the ass, then don’t be tryna fuck with the girls, too, poisoning the pussy population wit’ ya shitty ol’ dirty-ass dick.

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

Now, you guys know I've had my share of issues with Pimp C, what with me criticizing him for pulling out his gun on a woman in the mall and many in the hip-hop alleging that this constituted me infringing on a black man's right to get high on angel dust and shoot at imaginary leprechauns in a crowded public square.

My bad.

But I'm willing to take the legend on his word here. If Pimp C claims he doesn't have a problem with guys fucking one another in the ass, he just thinks it's to blame for poisoning the pussy population, then that doesn't make him a homphobe, that makes him stupid, and there's a difference.

On the other hand, Ja Rule might actually be a genuine, according to Hoyle homophobe. Here's Ja in an issue of Complex magazine.

We need to go step to MTV and Viacom, and lets talk about all these fucking shows that they have on MTV that is promoting homosexuality, that my kids can't watch this shit. Dating shows that's showing two guys or two girls in mid-afternoon. Let's talk about shit like that! If that's not fucking up America, I don't know what is.

Now granted I've voiced my frustration with the teh ghey episodes of shows like Parental Control and NEXT, but that was more so on the grounds of the fact that I watch shows like this to check out young-looking pussy. If there's nothing but guys in an episode, it pretty much ruins my afternoon.

Ja, on the other hand, seems to object to these episodes on moral grounds and actually goes so far to cite his children, just like the Rev. Fred Phelps. Of course Ja Rule also happened to be raised a Jehova's Witness, so you wonder what's the real source of his bigotry.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Hip-Hop may be the straightest genre of music evar, but it's not the enemy of the teh ghey community. As is the case with most things these days, it's religious people who are the real source of the problem.
