Blue Chipper cRap Music Fantasy League Weekend…
This weekend isn’t just the official kickoff to the 2007-2008 NFL season, but it’s the Blue Chip scoring weekend for those of you playing the cRap Music Fantasy League over at Dallas Penn Dot Com. What is the cRap Music Fantasy League you ask? Basically it’s a game where you choose eight (8) artists, at least one of which has to be a female rapper, and one has to be an R & B singer (we use that term loosely) while the rest are rappers. That becomes your record label roster and everything that the artists that you have chosen get into for the fiscal quarter becomes points for your label.
For instance, T.I. released his album ‘T.I. vs. TIP’ during this third fiscal quarter (July 1st- Sept. 30th). T.I. gets points for that. The album is certified gold by the RIAA, bong!, he gets more points for that. If he is on any magazine covers he will earn points and if he releases any music videos he will earn points for that as well. But because this fantasy league is based upon cRap music, doing productive shit as an artist isn’t the only way to score points for your label.
There is also a points system that also takes into account some of the shit that cRappers get into that is fucked the fuck up. When Remy Ma decided to flat blast her weedcarrier / wigbrusher she earned points for the label owners that had her on their rosters. Getting arrested for assault and gun possession will earn your artist what we call ‘notoriety’ points. Driving under the influence is also valuable for points as is serving jail time. The artists that you imagine who are likely to earn points on both sides of the coin are what we call Blue Chippers. These are the prospects that you draft to your roster because you know they are good for scoring your label points within the quarter which the game is being played.
It’s like this, if you know an artist is releasing an album in the quarter you are playing, and you know that artist is good for ridiculous P.R. stunts like smacking people upside the head with the butt of a gun then you would prah’lee consider that artist for your label roster. With the albums ‘Curtis’ and ‘Graduation’ officially being released on Tuesday, as well as the MTV awards being telecast tonight I expect KanYe and Fifty to score tons of points this week for their respective cRap Music moguls. We are approaching the end of the quarter and the overall points lead has been too close to call. Tune into DP Dot Com tomorrow for am update on the cRap Music Fantasy League leaderboard.
Peace out to Foxy Brown who is at least more hardbody now than Paris Hilton.
Thanks to these sites for moving the cRap Music Fantasy League forward…
