Lists are hell’a fun. After making several lists for the greatest rap albums of all time I thought about making a list for the greatest Hip-Hop movies ever made. A Hip-Hop movie doesn’t have to have rap music on it’s soundtrack. There’s all kinds of music under the Hip-Hop umbrella and rap music is one small part. People tend to focus more on rap because of it’s commodification, but there is shit that is Hip-Hop music with no words on the track.
Anyhoo, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the greatest movies relevant to Hip-Hop culture. If you haven’t seen some of these I suggest you get your NetFlix game right, but knowing you clowns y’all will be downloading these joints before this post is even done with.
