Lupe Fiasco Presents…Fin’…

This last entry I write while in intense pain due to a very advanced case of an infection in my throat which set in last night...Had to go to the hospital out in Conneticut...Doctor didn't know what it was but it definetly ain't right...It's one of those pains that makes you wanna just die...Hurts to swallow, hurts to breath, hurts to talk...I guess I'm using this entry to distract myself from the pain...

Right now I'm in a car which is racing me back to NYC so I can recuperate in more comfortable surroundings...Had to cancel all of my engagements, shows, radio, press, etc. It's weird because its so close to the album coming out...We 4 days away, and this should be the period of time when I'm promoting the most, but now I can't do anything...

Last night was like hell...I felt helpless...It was crazy...I guess this is God telling me to slow down...I been goin' hard...Everyday in a new city performing or doing promo, now I have no choice but to stop...I wanna apologize to Byron Crawford, even though he is a big asshole....I'm apologizing because slander is a sin in Islam and I kinda felt a lil' too good after it went live...I truly apologize...

Anyways, the album is coming out in 4 days...The reviews have been great...All praises due to God....I had to leave off certain songs because of publishing issues that would have left me in a bad spot with my publishers due to samples on certain records. These include "Steady Mobbin" aka "Ghetto Story", "Theme Music To A Drive-By", " Proper" and "Hustlaz Song"...But most of ya'll got those records on the leak...So just throw them in the iPod in the same playlist as the retail and you got a more thourough version of Food & Liquor, even though I'm very happy with the version going to retail...Make sure you cop the imports too, they got special unreleased records on them as well as stores like Best Buy are doing 19 track versions of F&L with additional music for the first week...Enjoy!

In closing...Can't really talk...In some mind-bending pain and don't know what's going to happen with this...I guess ya'll will just have to find out in the news...It's been love...It's been fun...Hope you guys enjoyed it...Thanx to the good folks at XXL for the opportunity....God is great...FNF UP!!!
