Brooklyn rapper Papoose is back on the streets with a new mixtape that's causing quite a stir in the hip-hop community. For the title of Pap's new street album, the lyrical wizard claims the prestigious "King of New York" title once held by elite New York City rappers Notorious B.I.G., Nas and Jay-Z now sits on his mantle. Last week Pap unveiled the title that immediately triggered a trendic topic with fans angered by his suggestion.

"The reason I chose that title is because I am the king of New York," the Brooklyn MC said with confidence to Mixtape Daily. "It feels good to be the king of New York so I just wanted to celebrate myself being the king of New York, so I figured I'd make it a self-titled mixtape."
