G Herbo Arrested on Battery Charge

UPDATE: On April 18, G Herbo was released from Fulton County Jail. He posted a $2,000 bond to secure his release.

UPDATE: In a since-deleted Instagram story, Ariana Fletcher, who is the mother of one of G Herbo's son, appears to claim that the rapper punched, dragged and choked her during the reported altercation.

“He kicked my door down to get in my house because I wouldn't let him in, beat the fuck out of me in front of my son then he took my son outside to his friends and had them drive off with my son,” she wrote in the post. “Hid all my knives in my house, broke my phone and locked me inside and beat the fuck out of me again.”

Chicago's G Herbo has been arrested.

According to Fulton County Jail records, Herbo, born Herbert Wright, was arrested in Georgia on a battery charge on Wednesday (April 17). In a report Atlanta's 11 Alive News published Thursday, Atlanta police say Herbo was arrested after an argument with the mother of his child, Ariana Fletcher, turned violent. After the alleged fight, Herbo reportedly left the scene of his Georgia home with their son Yosohn.

While there aren't many other details regarding the arrest, police found the mother of Herbo's child with minor scratches. When Herbo returned to the Canterbury Lane home police who were already on the scene arrested him for simple battery. Information regarding Herbo's bail is currently unknown.

Herbo and Ariana have been split for some time, but they reunited over the weekend to celebrate their son Yosohn's first birthday. Video taken at the party shows the pair playfully fighting inside the event while putting cake on each other, but later, it appears to turn more serious. In a video captured from the parking lot of the venue, Ariana can be seen hitting Herbo multiple times. It was unclear at first whether they were playing or it was a serious fight, but the latest developments appear to speak toward the latter.

This isn't the first time Herbo has been arrested. On Feb. 22, 2018, the former XXL Freshman was booked for unlawful use of a loaded weapon. Herbo was released from jail for that incident on March 2, 2018.
