Four 6ix9ine Associates Have Pleaded Guilty in Federal Racketeering Case

Four associates of 6ix9ine have now pleaded guilty in the federal racketeering case brought against the rapper and his former crew, bringing the total to five, including Tekashi himself.

According to court documents obtained by XXL, Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones entered his guilty plea in court on Wednesday (April 3). Jones was charged with one count of racketeering conspiracy and one count of participating in a narcotics distribution conspiracy for helping to move heroin and fentanyl. Jones admitted to his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Blood gang's activities to Judge Paul A. Engelmayer. His sentencing is scheduled for July 17.

Following Jones' plea, Faheem "Crippy" Walter also pleaded guilty to firearms and racketeering charges related to an April 2018 robbery in Manhattan. That was an incident where former 6ix9ine associate Scum Lord D!zzy was robbed of his backpack. He entered his plea the same day as Murda.

Walter is the fifth person to enter a guilty plea in the racketeering case, and the fourth to plead guilty to a crime specifically relating to the robbery. Jensel "Ish" Butler, Kifano "Shotti" Jordan and 6ix9ine have also pleaded guilty to similar charges. Both the money that was swiped in the robbery and the backpack itself were found during a raid at a property of 6ix9ine's in September of 2018. Walter's sentencing is set for July 10.

6ix9ine and his associates were originally indicted for the racketeering case on Nov. 19, 2018. 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to firearms and racketeering charges on Jan. 23.
