Footage of Lil Pump getting into a confrontation with police during his arrest at the Miami International Airport in December has possibly sparked a lawsuit and now a police investigation has been launched into whether the rapper was treated justly during his detainment.

The Miami-Dade Police Department is looking into the matter, reports TMZ on Saturday (Feb. 23). They have released a statement about the video which reads: "Command staff members are aware of the Body Worn Camera footage and are reviewing it to ensure compliance with our established policies and procedures. We take pride in a professional level of service and fairness to all and hold ourselves accountable for our actions."

In the body cam footage of the arrest, which surfaced on Thursday (Feb. 21), Pump is seen disputing police officers' claims that a bag that smells like marijuana belongs to him. The "Gucci Gang" rapper vehemently denies cops' claims and both parties raise their voices, with one cop getting directly in the South Florida rapper's face and screaming at him. One of the officers tells the rapper, "It's your bag now." No drugs were located. However, Pump and his manager were booked on disorderly conduct charges.

Pump has revealed plans to sue the Miami PD in the wake of the video going viral. "DIRTY ASS 🐷SAID 'ITS YOUR BAG NOW,'" he noted on social media. "THIS RACIST SHIT NEEDA STOP LAWSUIT ON DA WAY."

The video surfaced just a day before Pump's new album Harverd Dropout was released.
