Blueface hits a legal bump in the road.

The ascendant California rapper was arrested for gun possession in Los Angeles at 7 p.m. PST on Friday night (Feb. 1). After spending the night in jail, he was released on $35,000 bail, XXL has learned through Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office records.

TMZ obtained video of the arrest. It shows the West L.A. rapper being led away by police officers in handcuffs. Law enforcement sources tell the celebrity news site that police were called to the scene of a downtown L.A. spot because they heard that a group of people were wearing a lot of jewelry in an area where a lot of robberies had taken place. They apparently showed up because they feared that Blueface and company would be easy targets for robbers. When police arrived, the 22-year-old and his associates threw away their guns and quickly tried to leave the scene. They were soon apprehended by police.

Once Blueface and two of his associates were captured, police found that they had been carrying loaded guns at the time they were arrested. Blueface, who signed to Birdman and Wack 100's Cash Money West label in the fall of 2018 is facing a felony possession of a loaded firearm charge. He is due back in court on Feb. 27.

The rapper was also arrested in November 2018. In that incident, Face was reportedly robbed at an L.A. gas station and chased down the culprit and got into a shootout. He was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

XXL has reached out to both the LAPD and Blueface's camp for comment on the latest matter.
