Troy Ave has some serious charges hanging over his head in connection with the May 2016 shootout at Irving Plaza in New York City. Yet, until he either goes to trial on pleads out, he plans on living his best life. And that includes taking fishing trips to Alaska and Cape Cod.

On Friday (Jan. 11), the rapper made an appearance in a Manhattan court room to deal with scheduling for his upcoming case relating to infamous 2016 club shooting in NYC. Ave's lawyer was not present, so another court date was scheduled for the matter. Upon leaving, the flamboyant "Smash on 'Em" rapper made some interesting revelations to reporters in attendance.

“I love going fishing,” he told Vulture after being grilled on his fur-laden outfit.

Apparently angling is really one of Troy's new pastimes. He went on to say he's asked the court’s permission to travel to Alaska or Cape Cod so he can go salmon fishing. He also noted his homies have been trying to convince him to go bear hunting.

Troy recently stopped by XXL offices and chopped it up about his future plans amid controversy and uncertainty.

"I plan to grow, he said. "I feel like I’m in a dope space going into the new year. I don’t have animosity for nobody. I don’t even have ill feelings for certain people anymore. All that type of shit does is distract you from getting to the money. I got to get to this money. That’s a fact though."

Troy released his latest album More Money More Problems in November.
