2018 came and went with so many albums, mixtapes and extended plays that it was almost hard to keep up with everything. Fortunately enough, some rappers decided to play the back and wait until the new year to drop their projects, leaving the focus on them early in January 2019.

On Jan. 1, two months to the day 8Ball and MJG were inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, the legendary Tennessee duo released Classic Pimpin' (Live). The 12-track LP hosts a slew of their biggest singles, dating back to their debut album, Comin' Out Hard. Standout tracks include "Space Age Pimpin'," "Paid Dues" and "Lay It Down," with their latest track, "Take a Picture," added as a bonus cut.

Recently, Future surprised the masses when he dropped "Crushed Up," his first single of the year. The song and its accompanying visual were followed by the announcement of a new album, The Wizrd, which is slated for a Jan. 18 release.

Rich The Kid also shares a release date with Future Hendrix. He's dropping The World Is Yours 2, the follow-up to his RIAA-certified gold debut. On Jan. 3, Rich revealed the star-studded tracklist, with features from Juice Wrld, Offset, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Jay Critch and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, to name a few.

Closing out the month is Boogie, who's dropping his debut album, Everything's for Sale, via Shady Records. On Jan. 2, the "Deja Vu" lyricist has "a confirmed Eminem feature," which is sure to be a standout on the record.

Comethazine, Wifisfiuneral and more are also dropping projects this month. Take a look at all of the January hip-hop releases below.
