Young Greatness’ Murder Case Widens With New Person of Interest

The search for Young Greatness' killer continues.

On Tuesday (Dec. 11), New Orleans police confirmed that they are on the hunt for another person of interest in the case of the slain rapper. Fox 8 in New Orleans confirms that Donald Reaux has been named as the latest person of interest in the shooting that left the "Moolah" rapper dead at age 34. Although no warrant has yet to be issued for him related to this investigation, Reaux currently wanted for unrelated traffic violations.

Last week (Dec. 5), the NOPD also named Brett Scipio, 35, as someone they would like to speak to about the crime. According to Fox 8, cops claim Scipio is not wanted for the shooting death, nor has he been named as a suspect.

The deadly shooting happened back in October around 1:35 a.m. in the parking lot of a Waffle House in the 2900 block of Elysian Fields Ave. Prior to his untimely death, Greatness was signed to Cash Money Records following his brief time with Quality Control. The "Moolah" rapper put out his most recent mixtape, Bloody Summer, in October of 2017.

Many in the hip-hop community mourned the rapper on social media following his tragic death.

"I can't stand that place," Greatness' mother Jeanine Rose told New Orleans' WDSU. "They can have it with their politics and potholes. It's too many mothers taking slow walks to sad tombs while they sit at home and play politics with people's life and people living."
