The New Orleans Police Department continue to work the murder case of slain Crescent City rapper Young Greatness. In the latest revelation, they have identified a person of interest.

On Wednesday (Dec. 5), the NOPD named Brett Scipio, 35, as someone they would like to speak to about the crime, reports Fox 8 in New Orleans. The report claims Scipio is not wanted for the shooting death, nor has he been named as a suspect.

As previously reported, Greatness was shot and killed outside of a Waffle House on Elysian Fields Avenue in his hometown of N.O. on Oct. 29. He was stuck once in the back and died on the scene. He was 34 years old. The two suspects in the crime reportedly fled in the rapper's vehicle and remain at large.

Two days after the killing, local police released a photo of a person of interest in the shooting. The grainy picture that was revealed to the public shows a Black male in a white T-shirt and a dark-colored baseball hat. He also appears to have a mustache. It is unclear if the person in the photo is Scipio.

Greatness signed with Cash Money Records in April of 2017 following a stint on Atlanta powerhouse Quality Control. The "Moolah" rapper put out his most recent mixtape Bloody Summer in October of that year. Many in the hip-hop community mourned the rapper on social media following his tragic death.
