Meek Mill was recently gifted a chain that only a few rappers have been privileged enough to receive.

Over the weekend, the Philadelphia rhymer was given a diamond-encrusted Roc-A-Fella logo chain by Jay-Z himself while hanging out at the Dusse Palooza event in New York.

On Saturday (Dec. 22), Meek announced the gift by posting an image of the chain onto his Instagram story. "Hov just gave me a roc chain off his neck. This Jawn like 36 Grammies real rap," wrote Meek, who signed to Hov's Roc Nation management nearly seven years ago.

The Champions MC joins a list of rappers who have received the prestigious Roc chain. Among them are fellow Philly rappers Freeway and Beanie Sigel who were both given chains upon signing with the label in the early 2000s.

Additional chain holders include Memphis Bleek, Wale, J. Cole, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and even NBA superstar LeBron James. Of course, Kanye West received a Roc-A-Fella chain from Hov early in his career. Kanye immortalized that moment with the line when he included footage of the moment Hov gifted him a Roc chain in his video for his 2003 single, "Through the Wire." "I'm the newest member of the Roc-A-Fella team," he said in the clip.

In February 2017, Big Sean received a Roc chain following the release of his album, I Decided. The Detroit rapper was deeply honored by the gesture. "Hov just gave this to me! Told me I earned it! #IDecided," he wrote on his Instagram page.

Interestingly enough, Meek was also photographed at the event chilling with Jay and Fabolous who was proudly wearing a Roc chain.
