The nominees for the 2019 Grammy Awards have been announced, and based on the list of gramophone hopefuls, it's clear the folks responsible for putting together the annual awards show are trying to make sure producers get their due recognition.

In the Producer of the Year, Non-Classical category, the nominees are Boi-1da, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Larry Klein and Linda Perry.

Boi-1da’s production credits for the eligible year include songs such as “Be Careful” (Cardi B), (which appears on Bardi's Grammy-nominated album Invasion of Privacy), as well as the Grammy-nominated singles “God’s Plan” (Drake) and the “Lucky You” (Eminem featuring Joyner Lucas).

West’s production credits for the eligible year include producing Pusha T’s Grammy-nominated Daytona album, as well as Nas’ Nasir and his own album Ye.

Pharrell had a hand in producing both pop and rap records this year, with his production credits for the eligible year including “Man Of The Woods” (Justin Timberlake) and “Apeshit” (The Carters).

Each of these producers have had a monumental year. Fans will have to wait to see who will take home the prize, with the 61st annual Grammy Awards set to air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 10.
