Cardi B is a very busy woman with a packed schedule going into 2019. So then, it's no shock that she hasn't been able to get into the studio with Mariah Carey just yet. In a new interview with Extra posted Thursday night (Dec. 20), Bardi explained some of the reasons that rumored collaboration hasn't come to fruition.

Sitting down with media personality AJ Calloway, Bardi discusses some of her plans for 2019 before Calloway asks her if she plans to link up with MiMi in the studio anytime soon. The "I Like It" rapper doesn't elaborate too much, but she does make it clear the collaborations has yet to happen.

“It's not in the works," Bardi says of a potential song with Mariah Carey. "It would be nice if it could be in the works. I've just been so busy that I haven't had time to do my own songs.”

After dealing with the dramatic ripple effects of her headlining 2018 Rolling Loud Los Angeles performance, one that saw her estranged husband apologize for his alleged infidelity, Cardi recently found the time to knock out a new verse in the studio. However, the Bronx native's to-do list for 2019 is already jam-packed, and the year hasn't even started yet. In the new year, she will appear in Netflix's first-ever music competition series before presumably popping up at the 2019 Grammy Awards and headline the AVN Awards in February. There's much more

Meanwhile, with Christmas quickly approaching, Cardi claims that she's not sure where she and her daughter Kulture will be spending the holidays. “Everybody want to spend time with Kulture, so it’s like, 'Oh my goodness where am I going to spend it?'"

Recently, sources close to Offset claimed that the Migos rapper is eager to spend time with Cardi and Kulture for the holidays. The Atlanta rhymer is known for being a generous gift giver and wants to shower his new baby and wife with a slew of presents.
