Last Friday (Nov. 16), 21-year-old Blueface was robbed as he paid a visit to a Newhill, Calif. gas station, and he responded by catching up to the suspect and opening fire. Shortly afterwards he was arrested.

According to a report The Signal posted Monday (Nov. 19), the rapper, who is believed to have signed a deal with Birdman's newly launched Cash Money West record label, was at a Chevron gas station at Sierra Highway and Newhall Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when he was approached by a robber.

At some point after their encounter, the robber police believe to be a Hispanic male took some of Blueface's belongings and fled the scene in a gray or silver Chrysler or Dodge pickup truck. In the moments afterwards, the rapper sped through the streets in order to catch up with the robber and engaged in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting that ended in a collision on the southbound side of Highway 14. There were no reports of any life-threatening injuries.

“Investigations show that a robbery occurred in the same location as the shooting,” Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, said yesterday.

Despite being identified as the victim of the robbery, Blueface, who was born Johnathan Porter, was arrested that same night and booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon shortly thereafter. After spending the weekend in jail, the "Deadlocs" rapper was released on $50,000 bail on Sunday morning.

"They done fucked up and freed the famous crip kid," Blueface said on Instagram upon his release. "They done fucked up. Back on my bullshit."

The day after his release, Blueface wasted no time in hitting up the studio. In an Instagram video posted last night, he told his fans to blow up Cash Money West executive Wack 100 so that he can drop his next banger.

"Just finished the whole song need y’all to go blow up @wack100 feed tellem to drop it," Blueface said in the caption.
