6ix9ine's legal woes took another turn for the worse yesterday (Nov. 19) after he was arrested and charged with racketeering. Now the full extent of the charges leveled against him are

XXL has obtained the 18-page indictment against the "Fefe" rapper. In the indictment, released by the U.S. Attorney's Office Southern District of New York, 6ix9ine faces at least six counts of racketeering and firearms possession. The most serious charge he's been accused of is discharging a firearm while committing a crime, which carries a mandatory minimum of 25 years in prison, and a possible life sentence.

6ix9ine is charged with racketeering conspiracy, which carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison; using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to, or possessing a firearm in furtherance of, a crime of violence, which was discharged, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison; violent crime in aid of racketeering (April 3, 2018), which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison; another count of violent crime in aid of racketeering (April 3, 2018); which carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison; Using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to, or possessing a firearm in furtherance of, a crime of violence, which was brandished, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison; violent crime in aid of racketeering (July 16, 2018), which which carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison.

The indictment also asserts that 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, his ex-manager Kifano Jordan (Shottie), Faheem Walter (Crippy), Jamel Jones (Mel Murda), Jensel Butler (Ish) and Fuguan Lovick (Fu Banga)—who Tekashi reportedly fired recently—are allegedly part of a gang known as the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The New York City-based crew is accused of a string of drug-trafficking offenses and violent crimes, including attempted murder and armed robbery.

“Members of Nine Trey, who wielded firearms and pushed highly addictive drugs onto New York City streets, allegedly showed an unprecedented level of violence this year, and for that they are now facing multiple charges, including an incident in which an innocent bystander was shot," said HSI Special Agent in Charge Angel M. Melendez. "This criminal enterprise has no business in our city, and we will continue to work with our partners to ensure that Nine Trey crew members, including the more well-known ‘Tekashi 6ix 9ine,’ are in a place where they cannot inflict further violence on our communities.”

According to the indictment, the crew's plot to shoot someone who dissed the group led to the shooting of an innocent bystander in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn on July 16. The indictment also references the isolated gunfire that rang inside the Barclays Center back in April, and an attempted robbery in Times Square in April, which prosecutors believe was ordered and recorded by Hernandez himself.

“This gang, which included platinum-selling rap artist Tekashi 6ix9ine, wreaked havoc on New York City, engaging in brazen acts of violence,” U.S. attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said in a statement. "Showing reckless indifference to others’ safety, members of the gang were allegedly involved in robberies and shootings, including a shooting inside the crowded Barclay’s Center, and a shooting in which an innocent bystander was hit. Thanks to the extraordinary work of HSI, ATF, and the NYPD, the defendants will now face justice in federal court.”

After an investigation from the New York Police Department and two federal agencies, Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, 6ix9ine and five other members appeared in a Manhattan Federal District Court yesterday. They faces charges like racketeering conspiracy, Violent crime in aid of racketeering and using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to, or possessing a firearm in furtherance of, a crime of violence, which was discharged and/or brandished.

They were all sent to jail without bail. The Dummy Boy rapper's lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, made him out to be a target rather than an accused gang leader and emphasized that the FBI warned 6ix9ine that his life was in danger.

6ix9ine's new charges come weeks after avoiding jail time in his 2015 sexual misconduct case and his recent sentence of four years probation and community service in his police officer assault case. If convicted of his latest charges, 6ix9ine could face up to 25 years to life in prison. 6ix9ine was expected to be back in court on today. He is being held on $750,000 bail.
