T.I. returned to the BET Hip Hop Awards in a major way. During the 2018 ceremony, the veteran Atlanta rapper gave a rousing performance of hit songs both new and old.

Tip took the stage to perform some cuts from his new album, Dime Trap, which dropped last week (Oct. 5). With dancers and a stage setup that fulfilled a Day of the Dead vibe similar to the song's video, T.I. rapped his verses on "Jefe" sans featured guest Meek Mill, who did not attend the show. Tip was later joined, however, by Yo Gotti, who took to the stage to perform their latest collaboration, "Wraith."

T.I. also performed "Ball," his 2012 song with Lil Wayne. It was a fitting choice, given that a large portion of the night was dedicated to honoring Weezy.

Wayne was given the I Am Hip Hop Award. During his acceptance speech, he gave an emotional tribute to the homicide detective who discovered his lifeless body following a suicide attempt at age 12.
