Mick Jenkins is back with his sophomore LP. Today (Oct. 26), the rapper released his 17-track album, Pieces of a Man, which features appearances from Ghostface Killah, Julian Bell, Mikahl Anthony, Ben Hixon, Corinne Bailey Rae and BadBadNotGood.

On the cover art for the project, Jenkins' reflection appears in five pieces of broken glass. Donning a white T-shirt, the Chicago rhymer looks as if he's contemplating life and what's to come.

Pieces of a Man includes the previously released track "Understood." On the Kaytranada-produced song, Jenkins delivers hard-hitting bars with substance.

"Deep conversations 'bout language, which one you speak?Lotta niggas claim bilingual, lie through they teeth/Try to talk money, it's on the tip of they tongue/You know the feeling when the words just outside your reach/Take a few steps in, you outside your territory," he raps.

He takes a slower approach on the album's 14th track, "Consensual Seduction," which features Corinne Bailey Rae, and shows his versatility and use of wordplay.

"I can cut the tension in the room with a butter knife/I handle the heat like a oven mitt/I ain't got intentions beyond what you mention/What you want from me?I can see little inclinations, look like invitations/More low-key with my natural nature," he raps.

The LP release comes after Jenkins' Or More; The Anxious, which was released on Feb. 26, and the release of his debut album, The Healing Component, back in 2016.
