Trippie Redd is not here for the negativity. The "Dark Knight Dummo" rapper condemned fans on Friday (Aug. 17) who still pit him against XXXTentacion, describing the slain rapper in an Instagram post as his "brother" in spite of their public feuds.

Redd first addressed the issue in an Instagram comment Thursday (Aug. 16) responding to an XXXTentacion fan page's since-deleted meme depicting X and Ski Mask The Slump God Fans attacking Trippie.

"Yeah ight I want someone to try me," he wrote. "Y'all sound stupid asf anyway they both my brothers rap is competitive I'm supposed to act like I don't have an opinion u lil kids childish and tbh letting X down completely negative bitches."

Trippie expanded the thought in his own post, which shares insight into his contentious but close relationship with X. The 2018 XXL Freshman calls Jahseh his "brother" and says their competitive spirit made them closer.

"What y’all don’t know is that x was mad competitive with me and it made us closer than ever cause he seen potential in me he seen in no one else and that’s versatility," he wrote. "He loved it and me even after we got into it the 4 times y’all thought only happened once we were brothers and talked everyday no matter what he was the only nigga I considered as family in this industry."

The two rappers publicly butted heads multiple times, but resolved their beef in March after XXXTentacion apologized to Redd and called him an "amazing artist" during a concert in Florida. Trippie responded on Instagram accepting the apology and expressing his love for X in return.

The resolution tragically came just three months before X's death by gunshot outside a motorsports dealership in Deerfield Beach, Fla. on June 18. The duo last collaborated on the song "Fuck Love," featured on X's debut studio album, 17.
