Brooklyn's Flipp Dinero has landed himself a new record deal. Known for his songs "You Know It" and "Leave Me Alone," the Haitian-American rapper has inked a deal with DJ Khaled's We the Best Music Group and Epic Records.

DJ Khaled, who was on the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet with Flipp earlier this month, praised the rhymer as a special type of artist. “I knew Flipp was a special type of artist from the minute I heard him," Khaled said. "He had a certain vibe to him that I knew the world would gravitate to and I’m proud to work with tomorrow’s brightest superstar.”

Dinero was also praised by Epic Records President Sylvia Rhone, who said, "It’s an incredible opportunity to partner with two of the best music men who have their ear to the ground and their pulse on the culture. Flipp Dinero is undeniable!!” Cinematic Music Group CEO Johnny Shipes added, “Flipp is definitely a phenomenal talent and I'm really excited about the partnership with Khaled.” Flipp has been signed to Cinematic before the Epic and We the Best signing was announced.

XXL caught up with Flipp in 2017 shortly after the release of his debut EP, The Guala Way. At the time, the rapper told us his goal in hip-hop is to be able to say "five, 10 years from now that I accomplished something. To be able to build a foundation for other artists to present their crafts as well."

In March, Dinero dropped his latest EP, GuaLa See GuaLa. The six-track project includes only one guest appearance from G Herbo but features production from Young Forever, Mega Beats, DrumDummie and more.
