YG Arrested for Stealing Man’s Chain at Las Vegas Casino

YG has run into some legal trouble. The "Big Bank" rapper was in a Las Vegas court on Thursday (July 12) after turning himself into authorities when a warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to a July 13 report from TMZ, YG was charged with felony robbery stemming from an incident at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas in late May. The rapper was released from jail after posting the $20,000 bond.

Police say at the time, a man approached YG asking for a picture but was turned away. After telling the rapper that he's not a real celebrity, YG ripped the man's chain off his neck.

Surveillance footage from the casino shows the chain falling to the ground and YG picking up the pendant, which is worth between $3,000 and $9,000. The alleged victim also claims YG had his crew attack him before his chain was stolen. The man is seeking $250,000.

In related news, YG is preparing for the release of his Stay Dangerous album. The west coast rapper announced the project's release date in June, revealing the album will drop on Aug. 3.

Originally announced during the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend, YG has been building hype for the project, releasing the singles "Suu Whoop" and "Big Bank." Along with the album release date, YG also shared the date for an Aug. 5 fashion show and live concert, which will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
