XXXTentacion’s Estate Files Trademark to Use Name on Official Merchandise

Nearly two weeks after the open-casket public memorial for XXXTentacion, the rapper's family presented a set of new merchandise commemorating the artist. Now, according to a July 11 report from TMZ, the estate of XXXTentacion has applied for a trademark to use his name on more clothing.

The trademark filing will allow the late rapper's estate to use his name on jerseys, jackets, hats, T-shirts, sweatpants, collared shirts and hoodies. The claim was filed near the end of June, shortly after XXXTentacion was gunned down.

An official merch store launched earlier this month, featuring T-shirts, shorts and a hoodie, but the products are currently only available for pre-order. Prices for the merchandise range from $35 to $75.

It's been nearly a month since XXXTentacion was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach, Fla. but police have gotten closer to solving the case. Since the rapper's death, authorities have arrested Dedrick Williams and charged the 22-year-old with first-degree murder. Police have also named Robert Allen as a person of interest in the case.

In related news, it was recently reported that X had signed a $10 million deal with Empire Distribution before his death. While the rapper has "a significant amount of material" in the vault, Empire CEO Ghazi Shami says plans to release the music have yet to be hashed out.

XXXTentacion had previously teased the release of his Skins album and also said a project titled Bad Vibes Forever was in the works.
