It appears Azealia Banks isn't backing down after reigniting her long-running beef with Nicki Minaj in a series of aggressive tweets last week. In her latest move, the "Anna Wintour" rapper shared on Instagram today (July 9) two photos of herself in the studio with Nicki's ex-boyfriend Safaree.

In one photo, Banks appears to be singing, while Safaree, who dated Minaj before Meek Mill, reads on his phone. "Little Jugg and Big Jugg," reads the caption. In another caption, Banks wrote, "Chemistry - people be sleeping on my nigga saforehead but my nigga is nice with it." The two could just be collaborating, but many took the post as a direct dig at Minaj.

Azealia threw shots at the "Chun-Li" rapper on Thursday (July 5) after photos were revealed of Nicki wearing a mermaid tail from the set of her and Ariana Grande's "Bed" video. Banks accused Minaj of copying her "rap mermaid" aesthetic, which the Harlem artist has deployed for years. Nicki has not publicly responded to the tweets.

The new Instagram post isn't the first time Banks has publicly referenced working with Safaree. In a July 2017 interview with XXL, she claimed to have written and recorded a song with the singer. Banks later wrote in an apology letter to Nicki that the decision wasn't intended as a sneak diss. In that same letter, she promised to "never say any negative or catty things about [Minaj] ever again."

That vow was broken on Thursday (July 5) when Banks tweeted that Nicki's mermaid costume gave her "aunty chicken of the sea tuna in a can vibes," and claimed that the Queens star's "reign is up," among other insults.

Nicki's album Queen is scheduled to drop on Aug. 10. Banks released her nautical-themed single "Treasure Island" on Friday (July 6). You can view the Instagram posts featuring Banks in the studio with Safaree below.
