2006: DJ Khaled unveils his debut LP, Listennn...The Album.

The South Florida disc jockey was quickly making a name for himself in the mainstream hip-hop market, but the release of his debut album solidified his presence. The executive producer was able to recruit tons of major names in the game for the project at the time, including Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Juelz Santana, Rick Ross, T.I., Jadakiss, Beanie Sigel and tons more who were already some of hip-hop's biggest superstars.

The 17-track album held tons of bangers, and earned a smash hit from Khaled's "Holla At Me Baby" record featuring Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Fat Joe, Rozay and Pitbull, which was produced by Cool & Dre. The LP also contained the fan favorite "Grammy Family" record featuring Kanye West, Consequence and John Legend, who were in the beginning years of their G.O.O.D. Music collective. Both songs were singles off of the project along with "Born-N-Raised" featuring Pitbull, Trick Daddy and Rick Ross.

Listennn debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and sold a total of 44,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week, which came before the current streaming era. Since then, it has gone on to sell over 230,000 copies.

The project was a hefty preview for fans of the talent that the DJ could bring together and the potential of his stardom to come.
