Just days after surviving a near fatal car accident, southern rapper Lil Scrappy returns energized with a brand new single, "Confident."

The 808-heavy track finds the Atlanta native celebrating his nearly 15-year-long run in the rap game as he blends his crunk grit with trap-influenced synths. "You can hate if you wanna/Got God in my corner/No chip on my shoulder/’Cause nigga it's over," he melodically spits. The rapper is clearly certain that his ascent will only continue.

"Confident" serves as the lead single off Scrap's forthcoming project of the same name. The 12-track project is expected to arrive Friday (June 8) and can be pre-ordered here.

Although the rapper is currently recovering from several injuries—including a broken foot—he sustained during a very serious car crash on Sunday (June 3), Scrap appears to be in good spirits. The "No Problem" rapper shared a photo on Instagram following the harrowing ordeal that read: “Attention. Shit could be worse. You’re not dead.” He also added along with the caption, "thank God for God and his love and grace."

Aside from the arrival of his first project in six years, Scrap is also expecting his first child with wife Bambi Benson. The couple shared the news with fans on social media early last month, overjoyed to be welcoming their bundle of joy. The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars initially held off on the announcement due to Benson's repeated struggles with miscarriages in the past.
