Pusha-T stays winning. During his album release week, the G.O.O.D. Music president waged war with Drake, and came out with the week's highest-charting new rap project. Billboard reports that Pusha's Daytona debuted at number three on the Billboard Hot 200, followed at number four by A$AP Rocky's new album Testing.

Daytona moved 77,000 units in its opening week, including an unusually large portion, 39,000 units, in traditional album sales. It's Pusha's second solo album to debut in the top 10, following 2015's My Name Is My Name, which opened at number four. Testing, meanwhile, moved 75,000 units, of which 13,000 came from traditional album sales. Both of Rocky's previous albums At.Long.Last.A$AP and Long.Live.A$AP debuted at number one.

Beef and performance art aside, it's been a big year for hip-hop, with Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys, which debuted at number one its first week and held down the number two spot with 104,000 units sold during its fourth week on the market. Upstart Chicago emo rapper Juice Wrld's Goodbye & Good Riddance debuted at number eight.

Last Tuesday, Pusha-T released "The Story of Adidon," a single separate from his album in which he accuses Drake of hiding a child, among other familial problems, and exposes a photo of the Toronto rapper in blackface. In subsequent interviews, Push has leaned into the diss. The beef dominated conversation during Daytona's opening week, and while the Kanye West-produced project is good in its own right, it seems like the controversy boosted Pusha's numbers—as Drake predicted.
