An outstanding warrant has led to the arrest of Famous Dex on Thursday (May 31) in New York City.

According to a May 31 report from TMZ, the rapper was nabbed by police at the Royalton Park Avenue hotel in Manhattan with a group of people who were being investigated by authorities for credit card fraud. After police ran Dex's name, a warrant stemming from a missed court date for a public drinking violation popped up.

While Famous Dex was not charged with anything related to credit card fraud, sources say the rapper was cited for marijuana possession. Dex was eventually transferred to the Bronx to see a judge about his warrant.

Up next for Dex, the rapper will continue his Dex Meets Dexter Tour on Saturday, June 2 in Atlanta. The 19-city trek will continue to run through July 1 with stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Los Angeles and More. Dex will also make a stop in New York for Hot 97's Summer Jam.

The tour is in support of Dex's recently released debut album of the same name. Released on April 6, the 14-track project includes features from A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Drax Project and Diplo. The record also includes the songs "Japan" and "Pick It Up."
