Director Brian Grazer is reportedly set to begin filming a biopic about Gucci Mane, but according to T.I., the filmmaker approached him first about a movie.

In a recent interview with TMZ, T.I. was asked about his thoughts for a biopic on his life and revealed he actually turned down an offer from Grazer. "Brian asked me to do mine a while ago, and I told him I wasn't interested just because I don't know how that story ends."

Tip also threw a little shade at Gucci, who he has publicly feuded with over the title of inventor of trap music. "I guess he found somebody that wanted to do theirs," T.I. said about Grazer. "That's fine."

On Wednesday (May 9), TMZ reported that Grazer is gearing up to do an 8-Mile-style movie about Gucci Mane's life and called Guwop the "progenitor of trap." The comment probably won't sit well with T.I. who has previously called himself the creator of trap music.

In April, Tip posted a photo of his 2003 album, Trap Muzik, on Instagram and claimed the release date of the project was the birth of trap. "AGAIN for the slow ones in the back," he wrote. "August 19th, 2003 Birth of Trap Muzik & Only fools dispute facts!!! FOH wit that Christopher Columbus ass... 'Look what I discovered, even though they was already here' ass shit!!!! WITCHO GOOD CAPPIN ASS."
