California's own Shoreline Mafia are going major. Today (May 4), the clique comprised of Ohgeesy, Fenix, Rob Vicious and Master Kato announce that they've officially signed on to Atlantic Records.

Six months removed from dropping off their debut project, ShorelineDoThatShit, the clique has now positioned itself to do it bigger than ever. Today, they re-released the project, and it looks like they're going to continue building some serious momentum.

The crew's success, which, to this point has come in the form of millions of streams across all streaming platforms, is even more remarkable when you consider that it wasn't even all that long ago that they met in person for the first time.

Speaking with XXL for The Break this past January, the group explained that they hadn't even all met in person until well-into their stint as a rising rap clique. They also offered up an explanation for their name.

“We wanted a name that incorporated like, waves and shit, feel me," Ohgeesy offered at the time. "I feel like we were the waviest niggas around. Free Max B! All we do is get wavy, because we some wavy-ass niggas. And I was like, 'Yo, where the fuck do the waves start?' The shore line. Shoreline Mafia.”

With their clique solidified and a new deal in tow, the Mafia are now preparing to hit the road. On May 10, the crew will bein a series of shows, with the first being at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right. The next stop is the 2018 Miami Rolling Loud.
