The Weeknd's latest record, My Dear Melancholy, has earned the Canadian crooner his third No. 1 project on the Billboard 200 chart.

According to Billboard, the surprise release, which dropped on March 30, earned 169,000 equivalent album units with 68,000 coming from traditional album sales. The release also becomes the biggest week for an R&B album in over a year.

My Dear Melancholy, which is only available to purchase as a digital download, also earned the highest sales week for an R&B album in nearly a year, surpassing Mary J. Blige's Strength of a Woman, which sold 72,000 copies in May 2017.

The Weeknd's project did well with streaming numbers as well, racking up 94,000 streaming equivalent album units and making it the third-biggest streaming week for an album this year. Only Migos' Culture II and XXXTentacion's ? albums have done better.

And those aren't the only feats for My Dear Melancholy. The project becomes the shortest album by number of songs to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in nearly eight years. The last six-track project to hit No. 1 on the chart was the Glee: The Music, Journey to Regionals soundtrack in 2010.

Up next for The Weeknd, the "Call Out My Name" singer will be the headliner at number of upcoming music festivals, including this weekend's Coachella festival. The artist will be performing on April 13 and April 20, and will also be at Panorama in July and Outside Lands in August.
