The nominations for the upcoming 2018 Billboard Awards are here, and it looks like the Top Rap Female Artist category will attract a lot of attention. While tons of big names in hip-hop are up for awards in plenty of major categories, the Top Rap Female Artist section features Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and Bhad Bhabie competing against one another for the winning title.

The three women are the only contenders within the female rap category, but it definitely looks like it could be tough competition. While Bhad Bhabie just finished her breakout year with her "Hi Bich" hit single that did well on the charts, Nicki Minaj hi the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart multiple times for her features on big records. As many already know, Cardi B also had a huge breakout year, landing a major No. 1 single with her "Bodak Yellow" track, and debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for her Invasion of Privacy studio LP.

If Cardi doesn't land the win as the Top Rap Female Artist, she'll still have an opportunity to earn the award for Top Female Artist against pop stars like Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello and Halsey. She is also up for the award for Top New Artist, Billboard Chart Achievement Award, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Streaming Song (Video), Top R&B Song for her verse on "Finesse (Remix)" with Bruno Mars and Top Rap Song.

The 2018 Billboard Awards will air live on NBC on May 20 at 8 p.m. EST. Be sure to tune in to find out the winners.
