Money Man Buys Himself Out of Record Deal With Cash Money
Birdman's trouble with handling artists under his Cash Money Records imprint have been well-documented, and now Money Man has been added to that list. The ATL native unveiled on social media Monday (April 9) that he has bought himself out of his deal with Cash Money just a year after signing with the label.
The Secret Society rapper assured fans that his music would be back on streaming services soon. "JUST BOUGHT MY SELF OUT MY CONTRACT WITH CASH MONEY RECORDS. MY MUSIC WILL BE BACK ON STREAMING PLATFORMS SOON," he wrote.
Just last month, he publicly vented his frustrations with his souring label situation. "Label took all my muzik down, guess it’s time ta hit da west and grab a couple hundred more #’s," Money Man explained on Twitter.
The 31-year-old spitter rose to acclaim after his Black Circle series of mixtapes garnered the buzz of the hip-hop community. He soon inked a deal with Birdman's Cash Money Records in February of last year and things have been downhill since.
