Nick Grant Samples Lauryn Hill on New Song “Forever and Always”
Nick Grant is gearing up for the release of his sophomore effort, Dreaming Out Loud. In the meantime, N.G. blessed fans with his latest single where he pays homage to the legend Lauryn Hill on "Forever and Always."
The South Carolina native samples Lauryn Hill's classic "Doo Wop" to set the tone for the soothing tune. "You gonna build me up or hold me down, huh/Basquiat flow, I got the crown, huh/I’m that nigga even when I’m out of town, Huh/Selling O’s, can I buy a vowel/I made it and I brought my drug dealing friends,” he raps.
The Atlanta-based MC served as an opening act on the star-laden PowerNomics Tour featuring Nas and Lauryn Hill, which ran through America from Sept. 7-Oct. 11 and finished up in Vancouver with a cameo from Dave Chappelle.
At the top of 2017 the "Newno" artist delivered his debut album Return of the Cool, which has fans eagerly anticipating more new music. Nick originally intended to drop D.O.L. toward the end of last year before pushing the LP further into 2018.
