Before the 2018 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting has officially launched, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2018 XXL Freshman cover.

Maliibu Miitch is bringing some fresh air to the South Bronx's music scene. The pint-sized beauty is packed with bars, combined with a flow reminiscent  of hip-hop's golden age. Miitch—whose name was inspired by Mekhi Phifer's character in Paid in Fullwent viral with her tracks "4AM" and "Crush On You" in 2017, and has been in the studio heavy since the release of her mixtape, Top 5. This year, the colorful Maliibu Miitch is working on a new project, to be released on Atlantic Records, and has joined forces with a bevy of New York legends in recent months to ensure her official debut is a classic.
