Before the 2018 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting has officially launched, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2018 XXL Freshman cover.

Atlanta remains a hotbed for hip-hop talent. Last year was no different, as newcomer Lil Baby exploded onto the scene with two impressive projects under the Quality Control label and a major street hit with “My Dawg.” Receiving an early cosign by fellow ATLien Young Thug, Lil Baby learned the ropes of the industry by closely watching Jeffery’s work ethic in the studio. Since then, the melodic rapper has dropped two critically acclaimed street classics with Hard and Harder Than Hard, and his buzz has only gotten bigger with December's Too Hard. Looking to continue putting in the work, Lil Baby seeks to have another successful run in 2018 and make this year his biggest to date.
