Since his days with Nike and his recent collaboration with Adidas, Kanye West has been using the Yeezy name for his sneakers and clothing but now, a Chinese apparel company is trying to take the name from him.

According to a March 22 report from People, Fujian Baby Network Techonlogy Co. is attempting to trademark "Yeezy Boost" for themselves. The Chinese apparel company filed paperwork to obtain the name on June 9, 2017.

Although Kanye has been using "Yeezy" since his days with Nike for his line of shoes and obtained the trademark in 2017, he failed to secure it for his clothing line, leaving that loophole open for other companies to stake their claim.

The Life of Pablo rapper's company has now taken steps to prevent Fujian Baby Network Technology Co. from using the Yeezy name and has filed documents with the United States Patent and Trademark office.

The rapper's feud with the Chinese apparel company is not his only legal battle. Kanye's company is also being sued by Jordan Outdoor Enterprises for allegedly using the same camouflage design on a pair of Yeezy cargo pants.

According to court documents, Jordan Outdoor Enterprises states that a representative from Yeezy reached out to them in March 2016 about using the design but when the idea of licensing was brought up, all communication stopped.

Kanye's latest legal battle comes as the rapper is gearing up for the release of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Butter sneaker. The shoe is reportedly set for a June 2018 release, although a date has not been confirmed by Adidas or Kanye.
