Rapper Finese2Tymes Faces Up to 10 Years in Jail After Pleading Guilty to Gun Charge

Rapper Finese2Tymes could be spending up to 10 years behind bars after the Tennessee artist pleaded guilty to a weapons charge.

According to a report from CBS News, the rapper admitted to having a gun on him during an Arkansas club performance and entered a plea deal on Monday (March 5) in a Little Rock, Ark. federal court. Under the terms of the agreement, the rapper will surrender two pistols to the federal government, along with ammunition.

Finese2Tymes was originally arrested on July 2, but his arrest was not in connection with a July 1 shooting at Little Rock's Power Ultra Lounge, which left 25 people injured. The amount of gunfire in the Power Ultra Lounge came so fast that investigators originally believed that multiple people were involved. The rhymer was not one of the shooters.

Police have since arrested two men in connection to the Power Ultra Lounge shooting, THV11 reports, including 19-year-old Tyler Jackson, who police believe initiated the shooting.

Following the shooting, there have been repercussions for hip-hop concerts in the state. In October, Moneybagg Yo's concert in Little Rock was cancelled after city officials raised concerns about violence.

In a letter sent to iHeartMedia, which runs the iHeartMedia Metroplex Live in Arkansas, police chief Kenton Buckner detailed three shootings that occurred at hip-hop concerts. The police head also pointed to Moneybagg's ties to Finese2Tymes.

"I thought it was a pretty dumb thing to book this concert, not because of the nature of the music but because of the individual performer's pattern of documented violence and the nature of our city in the aftermath of the shooting in July," said Mayor Mark Stodola. "I'm thankful it got resolved."
