Rappers' good deeds are not going unnoticed in recent weeks. The latest one to show love to their hometown is Fetty Wap, who visited his hometown of Paterson, N.J. this week as shoppers prepared themselves for the upcoming holiday weekend.

According to NewJersey.com, the "There She Go" rhymer joined forces with Price Rite supermarket to organize a giveaway at their location in Center City Mall on Tuesday (March 27). Fetty handed out hundreds of cards to families ahead of the Easter holiday on Sunday. "Coming from not having anything to being able to do a lot more than what I did growing up to be able to live a different lifestyle, it kind of really empowered me to help as many people as I could," said the rapper, who grew up on food stamps.

Marie Sweeney-Tevis, Inserra supermarket's director of marketing and community relations, spoke on behalf of the company and told the press they were excited for the opportunity.

The Jersey native, who said, "anything I can do to help especially with my hometown I’m going to always be there," is no stranger to helping others. In December, Fetty made headlines after investing $100,000 into his girlfriend's clothing brand. He's the most recent hip-hop artist to make charitable contributions, following behind Drake and 6ix9ine, who filmed their efforts while in Miami and the Dominican Republic, respectively.

In other Fetty-related news, the "KeKe" crooner has just welcomed his seventh child, a baby boy, with Lezhae Zeona. This comes two months after Alexis Skyy gave birth to his sixth, a baby girl who arrived three months prematurely. On the music end, Wap just capped off his For My Fans Tour after dropping For My Fans Pt. 3: The Final Chapter last month. In early March, the self-proclaimed "New Jersey Legend" dropped his GMix to SZA's "The Weekend," which you can listen to here.
