Gucci Mane is nearing his 20-year high school reunion and the rapper has a big surprise for his former classmates. Gucci doesn't just want to party with his old schoolmates, the rapper would like to pay for the festivities himself.

"This year marks my 20th year from graduating high school in 1998," the Mr. Davis artist tweeted on Tuesday (Feb. 27). "I want to personally invite anybody who graduated from #McNair aka McNasty aka #BouldercrestHigh to v103 car and bike show to go with me and also I want pay for our 20 yr reunion myself!"

While Gucci has made a career out of rapping about his life on the streets, the rapper actually excelled in high school, reportedly graduating with good grades and a scholarship for college. “I graduated from McNair in the spring of 1998 with a 3.0 GPA and a HOPE scholarship to Georgia Perimeter College,” he wrote in The Autobiography of Gucci Mane.

Gucci ended up forgoing college for a bit but did eventually enroll at Georgia Perimeter College, where he said he felt like an outsider. “I was doing pretty well for myself in the streets, so going back to school was the last thing on my mind,” he wrote. “So I didn’t go. I think they call that a gap year.”

If McNair High School alumni don't get to party with Gucci at their reunion, they will get the chance to see their former classmate on the big screen when Paramount Pictures and Imagine Entertainment bring Gucci's story to theaters. Earlier this month, it was reported that the studio had retained the rights to Guwop's life story, as well as the rights to his autobiography.
