Tidal is looking to win over some new users this Christmas. According to a report from The Verge, beginning on Christmas (Dec. 25), Tidal will be free to anyone and everyone for 12 days with no credit card required. The free trial will also cover Tidal's Hi-Fi tier.

Along with the free trial, Tidal will also release exclusive content on each day, including four new original content series, interview, music videos and documentaries on Rapsody and Trombone Short. Tidal also says it will be giving away concert tickets as well.

Earlier this month, a report from Norway's Dagens Næringsliv claimed Tidal only has enough money to last for six months. The report came after Sprint bought a 33 percent stake in JAY-Z's streaming service.

A Tidal spokesperson responded to the report, saying, "We have experienced negative stories about Tidal since its inception and we have done nothing but grow the business each year." The company also said it would break even soon and achieve profitability in mid-2018.
