After seven long years, N.E.R.D returns. Today (Dec. 15), the influential group composed of Pharrell, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley pulls up with their latest album, No_One Ever Really Dies.

The group comprised of Pharrell, Chad and Shay—which, if you didn't know, blends funk, rock and hip-hop and is probably responsible for a large portion of alternative hip-hop as we know it—had long-hinted at a new album. The thing is, though, those hints never escaped one-off interviews, and a new project never materialized—until now.

As was the case with JAY-Z's 4:44 album rollout, the first bit of serious promotion for N.E.R.D's latest effort began with a series of ads. Soon, there was their Rihanna-assisted single, "Lemon." Then, there, much more recently, there was the release of "Don't Do It," the first of the trio's two features with Kendrick Lamar.

Also appearing on N.E.R.D's latest album are the likes of Gucci Mane, Wale, M.I.A., Future, André 3000 and Ed Sheeran. Sounds epic.
