Tenants of the Metro Atlanta area are mourning the loss of veteran news anchor Amanda Davis, who died after suffering from a massive stroke while she was waiting for a flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Wednesday (Dec. 27). CBS affiliate WGCL-TV reported the news that same day.

During her career, Davis, whom The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports was on her way to Texas for her step-father's funeral at the time she suffered the stroke, brought the news to folks all over the Atlanta area. Now, Killer Mike, Jermaine Dupri and EarthGang have stepped forth onto Instagram to pay tribute to her memory.

"She was like a trill ass Auntie on the news. #Rip Amanda D. #RipAmandaDavis," the Run The Jewels rapper wrote in an Instagram post that included a screenshot of Davis on the air. For his part, Dupri echoed that sentiment, uploading the same image and writing, "If you from the A you know how bad this one hurts,I’m gonna miss turning on my tv seeing your face #ripamandadavis."

EarthGang, a Georgia-based rap duo that signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records earlier this year, uploaded the same Davis image, while also sending the late reporter their blessings. "RIP AMANDA DAVIS #ATL," they wrote in the caption for an image of Davis.
