Today (Dec. 24), marks the fifth anniversary of the death of Pro Era member Capital Steez. To honor his late homie's name, Joey Bada$$ has copped a shiny new piece that features Steez's likeness.

"STEEZUS PIECE," Joey captioned a picture of the charm on Instagram. The detailed, gold piece shows the dread-head rapper's face and neck adorned in iced-out chains. Atop his head is an icy crown with a third eye positioned in the middle.

Sadly, the promising Pro Era soldier was found dead on Christmas Eve 2012, at the age of 19. In the years since, Joey and the crew have kept his name alive via their annual Steez Day event. During this year's Steez Day, Joey announced CS's posthumous album, King Capital, would be coming out this year. "You know it's been five years. And we just want to say, on December 23, King Capital will officially be dropping," Joey told those in attendance. "Y'all heard it here first. The most valid source."

Earlier this month, it was revealed the project would be delayed due to "business legalities and sample clearances," according to an IG post from Joey. "Anticipating the disappointment that I know you may be feeling right now, trust that it's worth the wait," he added. No new release date was given, and it appears the project has been put on hold "until further notice."

Hopefully, we get it sooner than later. Check out Joey's new Steezus Piece below.
